ROBERT WILLIAM LINTON Suddenly, at the Victoria Hospital, Robert William (Bob) passed away at age 84. Bob was born in Easington Colliery, England on May 21, 1920 and married Nance Nelson January 4, 1941. He served in the British Army in The Second World War (B.E.F.) in France, North Africa, Middle East, Sicily, Holland and Belgium. He came to Canada with his family in 1952 and worked for many years at Federal Pioneer Electric. He was a Master Mason of Ionic Lodge No. 25, a member of the Fort Garry Legion No. 90 and participant in the Memory Project for the Dominion Institute. He was an enthusiastic member of the Charleswood United Church. Bob was predeceased by his wife, Nan in 1995. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Essie and Doreen. He is survived by daughter Irene, sister-in-law Dolly Rowe and numerous nephews and nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces and great-great-nephews and great-great-nieces. Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Rev. Joanne Kury officiating. Interment and reception to follow. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made to the Victoria General Hospital.
